Thermal Mastic Sealant is a one-component, non-drying, non-reactive mastic that is pumpable at room temperature. This is a specially designed and formulated paste-like material to transfer heat or cool from the cooling copper tube to the freezer body. Temperature ranges from -110°c to 260°c. Its components are extremely dense and heavy. This allows the product to conduct heat or cool from metal to metal effectively, which in turn optimizes the contact between the tube and the steel sheet. The other function of the adhesive is its ability to prevent foam from driving itself between the coil and the steel sheet. This allows the coil to continue to serve its engineered function of heat transfer.
Application
- US-SEAL Thermal Mastic Sealant should be placed on the bottom and top of the tube.
- It does not require any heat for application and can be used wherever heating or cooling needs to be transferred between adjacent metal surfaces.
- The material should be placed between the tube and sheet, evenly filling the void. This has proven to be an even 1/8-inch bead.
- Do not bury the tube in mastic.
- Apply on all voids.
